Harkány and its surroundings are characterised by extremely nice attractions. The calm city, nice parks of Harkány, the fairy-tale walls of Siklós, the beautiful slopes of the Villány wine-growing region are threaded together by thousands things. I would like to present these wonderful places and provide you with useful advice for your holiday.

Harkány is a calm medicinal spa. In addition to the exceptional sulphuric medicinal bath, looked-after parks, chirping birds, a stork nest on the church tower, nice, smiling people and statues welcome visitors.
Siklós lies at a distance of 5 kms from Harkány. When the visitors arrive to our region, they can see the crown of the area, the Castle of Siklós, from a large distance. The castle can be accessed by bicycle on a cycle track. The castle is looking forward to the visitors by expositions, a wine museum and attractions. The romantic city of Siklós is worth walking.
Máriagyűd is a meeting place: it is a meeting place for God and man. Máriagyűd is suitable for us to quiesce and listen to God. Let us dare to open the door to God because He wants to be present in our life by his wonderful plan, this is the century-old message of Máriagyűd. Máriagyűd is the spiritual centre of the diocese of Pécs. It is the spot of indulgence and retreats.
Their mission is exemplified by the 9th command of the Villány Wine Way:
“Be as original as your Mediterranean-soaked growing place that lies on the southern part of the Carpathian Basin but do not be Mediterranean, do not be continental, however, enjoy that by playing with the slopes, their mixture can produce special red and white wines, a complete product scale that is the specific feature of only Villány.”
Pécs is the economic and cultural centre of Southern Trans-danubia, one of the largest towns of Hungary and it is a county seat. It lies at a distance of 25 kms from Harkány. The Roman established a town at the start of the 2nd century that they named
